Winter wind-down: Yoga Nidra
Release physical and mental tension and align yourself with your natural cyclical rhythms as we shift into the slowness of the winter season. We'll begin each session with a soft breathing and gentle (and optional) movement practice to start to unwind, then move into our Yoga Nidra practice.
Yoga Nidra is a highly nourishing and accessible guided yoga practice that supports relaxation, mental clarity, and creativity. Studies have shown that Yoga Nidra alleviates chronic pain, insomnia, and stress. It requires no movement, and is practiced in a comfortable and supported lying or seated position, making it an excellent practice for anyone with a physical or mental illness or injury. With time and practice, Yoga Nidra can help you heal, and connect to your true nature.
Chantal has been offering nourishing, trauma-informed classes, workshops, and teacher trainings on Yoga Nidra and other styles of yoga in Canada and internationally for over a decade. She is a 500-hour certified therapeutic yoga teacher who understands yoga as a practice in awareness and acceptance of our authentic selves.
