Breathwork Ceremony: Honouring the Lungs and Grief

$45.00

This November we will gather for a gentle conscious connected breathwork ceremony.

This style of breath is soft yet powerful. As we invite awareness out of the mind and into the body, the breath becomes a bridge, filling us, circulating us, and carrying us deeper into presence.

In this ceremony, our intention is to touch into the energy of grief, not as something to fix or release, but as something to honour. Grief is not separate from love. It is love, revealed in its most tender form. When we allow space for grief, we allow space for our hearts to soften, to expand, and to more fully hold the spectrum of love.

The lungs and the heart sit side by side. Each breath drawn into the lungs carries oxygen directly into the heart, where it is received and sent out through the blood to nourish every cell. The heart then returns carbon dioxide back to the lungs to be exhaled. This intimate exchange—the dance of air and blood, of receiving and releasing, mirrors the flow of love and grief.

To breathe is to love. To exhale is to let go.

Together, we will breathe into this living relationship between love and grief, body and spirit.

Your facilitator;

Erica Sainsbury has been guiding conscious connected breathwork in and around Ottawa for the past six years, often through Conches, the healing practice she shares with her husband.

A trauma-informed practitioner, she weaves bodywork, craniosacral therapy, and shamanic healing to create spaces where the nervous system can soften and deeper truths can be remembered. Her work also extends into sacred medicine practices with Kambo and psilocybin, always with care, integrity, and reverence.

At the heart of Erica’s path is a devotion to presence: exploring breath, body, and shadow as doorways to wholeness, so that we may remember our strengths, embrace all of who we are, and show up more fully for ourselves, our loved ones, and the world.
