The Science and Soul of the Lungs: Grief and Letting Go

The lungs are more than just our breath. They take in what nourishes us and release what we no longer need. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the lungs are deeply connected to grief and the sacred act of letting go. When our breath is shallow or held, we often carry unspoken emotions, unprocessed loss, and the weight of what we’ve been unable to release.

In this gathering, we’ll explore both the science and the soul of the lungs,  how they filter and oxygenate the body, support our immune system, and regulate our vitality, while also serving as an emotional gateway for moving through sorrow, endings, and transition. Together we will honour the wisdom of the lungs, weaving in gentle practices that invite release, space, and renewal.

Come breathe with us, learn, and be held in community as we honour the lungs as both physical and spiritual teachers in the art of grief and letting go.
